2020 LCHRA Employer Internship Grant
This is a great opportunity for organizations interested in hiring an intern to offset some of the costs, while providing in-depth learning experiences for emerging HR professionals.
**Application deadline extended!**
New deadline to submit: April 30, 2020
Lane County Human Resource Association (LCHRA) is excited to announce that the application for the 2020 Employer Internship Grant is now live. This is a great opportunity for organizations interested in hiring an intern to offset some of the costs, while providing in-depth learning experiences for emerging HR professionals.
This year, we will award three $1,500 employer grants to employers who hire a student to work in a Human Resources capacity under the guidance of an HR professional.
Internships provide students with the opportunity to gain the real-world experience employers seek. For employers, it’s an opportunity to develop a pipeline of experienced HR candidates while taking advantage of the grant. Mentoring an HR intern also contributes to the education and development of future HR professionals.
For additional information on interns –
“Internship mentors” are also available to answer questions and help with the application process, the requirements associated with the internship grant, and the internship itself. They can be reached at LCHRAinternship@gmail.com.
Timeline:
Applications will be accepted through April 30, 2020.
Recipients notified by May 15, 2020.
