Human Resource Benefits Specialist

Under the direction of the Human Resources Director this position manages all functions associated with the administration of the Agency's employee benefit program. This position coordinates and manages all aspects of employee benefits, to include, but not limited to: health insurance, dental, vision, Paid Family Leave, workers compensation claims, and employee assistance program (EAP). Ensures compliance with and reporting requirements as mandated by state and federal laws. Fully engaged with the operation of the Abila Human Resources Software Module, benefits section. Maintain positive relationships with all internal and external customers.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY - Elected Officials Compensation Board

Lane County is looking for interested individuals to serve on our Elected Officials Compensation Board (EOCB). This is a volunteer opportunity to use your HR skills to advise and make recommendations on the salaries/compensation for the County’s elected roles. In this role, you will be able to work in collaboration with other HR professionals from the Lane county area and will have the opportunity to learn about County operations and the roles of our County elected positions.

The Human Resources Business Partner at our Crescent City facility serves as a trusted partner and advisor to facility leaders and team members. This individual is instrumental in promoting the company’s culture and values through partnership, coaching, and communication. By fostering a culture of trust, the HR Business Partner collaborates with facility leadership and the broader HR team to plan, support, and implement HR strategies aimed at attracting, engaging, and retaining talent.

Leaves Coordinator

The Leaves Coordinator reports to the Associate Director of Benefits and is responsible for educating and advising employees and departments on the various leave options and processes, and provides coordination of the following leaves programs for the University: Family & Medical Leave Act (FMLA); Oregon Family Leave Act (OFLA); Paid Leave Oregon (PLO); Parental leave; hardship and military leave; and the University’s donated leave program(s).
