Our Topic
Grab your coffee and settle in; it's time for another episode of Leaves of our Lives. Recall that during our last episode Paid Leave Oregon became a nightmare... I mean, a reality. Things were messy, complicated, and employees had 12 - 14 additional weeks of protected leave. Our HR heroes analyzed it, figured it out, and tried their best to manage it while maintaining some semblance of sanity (cue dramatic music).
This program has been submitted to the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the HR Certification Institute (HRCI) for review.
Key Learning Objectives
As with all soap operas, and apparently Oregon employment laws, nothing stays the same for long. Could it be that the OFLA and PLO rights and benefits will complement each other in a way that makes sense or will the upcoming changes further complicate leave law management. Will tracking and designating leaves become easier after July 1? Do we have to change our written policies (again), and if so, how? And is there hope for our HR heroes on the horizon? Join us for this informative and engaging program as we answer these questions and more about the critical new changes to OFLA and PLO effective July 1st.
