We are an affiliate of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) with over 300+ members representing over 200 employers in the Lane County area. We are a SHRM 100% Chapter which means our local chapter members are also members of SHRM.
Whether you are new to the HR field or have many years of experience, we are a local starting point for networking, information, professional development and continued support of excellence in Human Resources.
Recent updates from SHRM, including news about a legal decision SHRM plans to appeal, have naturally raised questions. We want to reassure our members that LCHRA remains an independent non-profit with its own bylaws, board and financial oversight. Our chapter was not involved in this case, and our focus continues to be supporting HR professionals here in Lane County.
As HR practitioners, we know that concerns related to discrimination or retaliation are deeply human issues. They deserve thoughtful attention, care, and integrity. We remain committed to fostering welcoming spaces, offering accessible ways to share concerns, and ensuring our policies reflect the inclusive, ethical standards we value.
Thank you for being part of a community grounded in fairness, humanity and leadership that strengthens workplaces throughout Lane County.
